“Hello. It’s Me”.

I think, this is how I should probably start this post as it’s been a while since the last time that I updated my blog. Nevertheless, I’m back with the 2nd part of LM Book Club.

This time I have a special fashion book to write about. It’s “How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are”. Some of you eitherย have already read it or have definitely heard of it before. But as I promised myself to share books worth reading here, on my blog, I couldn’t help but write about this book as well.

When I say that this book is such a great source of inspiration, trust me, I really mean it. If you have always admired the style of Parisian ladies or just Paris in general (just like me), then this book will 100 % become one of your favorite ones. Of course, you shouldn’t expect anything more than self-irony from cool-ass stylish French women, but they are so good with explaining all the details of French style, and lifestyle in general, through this ironic way of writing, that you will have the time of your life while reading it. Not to mention the visual part of the book – all the pictures there are just MAGNIFIQUE .

Hope that now you will finally decide to grab your copy of “How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are”. Because after doing so, you’ll get that sense of French style, that will guide you in this crazy world of fast-changing fashion trends.

Love, Leila.

5 Places To Eat In Paris

As some of you, guys, may remember last fall I went to Paris. I already wrote about it on my blog, I even have a travel vlog on my YouTube Channel, but what I did forget to do though is to write a post with top 5 places to eat in Paris. And as we all know it’s better late than never, let’s begin!

Restaurant L’Avenue.

Hands down, this place is a must visit for every fashionista going to Paris. The neighborhood of the restaurant is all chic and glam, which gives you an indescribable feeling of French aura. And of course food! Can you see how this photo from my instagram is basically an #aestheticgoals?

Angelina.

Ever since I saw a photo of Angelina tea salon on the internet (was it tumblr or maybe instagram, hard to tell now) I knew that when I will go to Paris I will visit it for sure. And I did. It was such a classy high tea date with my friend. Starting with choosing delicious cakes ending with finally trying it after a long day in Versailles, what could be better than that?

Laduree.

Going to Paris without visiting famous Laduree? No way! Of course, it was a must for me, and as it was my first trip to Paris, I was so excited to go there finally. Frankly, I adore how there are so many classy places in Paris that have their own traditional way of serving food (or even just a tea), that truly makes you see Paris without filters.

CUP – Cuisine Urbaine Parisienne.

We found this cafe at the airport, and as we were pretty hAngry, we didn’t care to much where to eat as long as we could finally eat. But this cafe was so good and so stylish, which is quite unusual for the cafes in the airports, right? Nevertheless, if I could ever go there again, I would definitely do that.

PAUL.

I know that you can find PAUL bakeries almost everywhere now, Almaty, Baku, Prague, you name it, but still I thought that while in Paris I had to check if it was different from the other PAUL cafes that I’d been to. Nope, not really, but who cares. As I am such a fan of PAUL bakeries I was glad to have a breakfast in a very familiar environment.

This city indeed was made for lovers. Wandering around Paris, holding each other’s hands, falling in love with life itself, and making promises that only two of you, well & Paris of course, will know.

I think, we all decide for ourselves what we see around us. We decide by what we choose to grow in the depths of our souls. If you have a light inside, you will see it all around you; if you keep love in your heart, the same way you will spread it and share it with the world. If you are empty and sad, no one and nothing may save you, even Paris. As I mentioned in the previous post, this trip actually changed my mind and awoke my soul, reminding what it is exactly that I want in life. It is still hard for me to fully answer to all the questions that I, as an almost senior year student, have. It is hard to stop worrying and be quite sure in the future, but that’s life & this is how it works. We may act as we control our lives: achieving goals, staying motivated, growing and moving forward, however,ย there is no guarantee of tomorrow at all. But isn’t it the reason to celebrate life, to take it easy, to enjoy every single moment, to capture as many memories as you can, to love fully, to help others, to forgive, to become better, to work on yourself, to dream big, to make new friends, to forget all the pain from the past, to stay soft and kind, to have open mind and warm heart, to be who you areย and to become the best version of yourself, without comparing yourself to others?

Don’t let the noise, that people around you make, to be louder than the voice of your intuition/soul/heart/your-inner-self, you name it, because in the end of the day, you are the only person who knows what is best for you. And this is one of the lessons that Paris taught me.

Love, Leila.

It is always hard to sum up your whole trip into words, to try to illustrate and to tell about a new place that you have been to, and it’s even harder to tell about a city that not only inspired you but helped you to find all the answers to the questions in your head.

Paris, I love you.

It sounds tacky, but I am proud to say that I am one of those lucky people who got a chance to fall in love with this city. Everything there looked so familiar as if I’d always lived there, as if in one of my previous lives (which I’m not quite sure of, but still) I was here: I lived & I loved. I Loved…

Paris, more than any other city that I’ve been to, made me think of my future, of my true identity, of my dreams 5 years ago and now, and most importantly it reminded me my true values. I’m still trying to analyze it all and understand myself, and as soon as I will succeed in that, I will be happy to share it with you, as always. <3

I will share more in my next posts from Paris, but for now check out a vlog from Paris!
