This city indeed was made for lovers. Wandering around Paris, holding each other’s hands, falling in love with life itself, and making promises that only two of you, well & Paris of course, will know.
I think, we all decide for ourselves what we see around us. We decide by what we choose to grow in the depths of our souls. If you have a light inside, you will see it all around you; if you keep love in your heart, the same way you will spread it and share it with the world. If you are empty and sad, no one and nothing may save you, even Paris. As I mentioned in the previous post, this trip actually changed my mind and awoke my soul, reminding what it is exactly that I want in life. It is still hard for me to fully answer to all the questions that I, as an almost senior year student, have. It is hard to stop worrying and be quite sure in the future, but that’s life & this is how it works. We may act as we control our lives: achieving goals, staying motivated, growing and moving forward, however, there is no guarantee of tomorrow at all. But isn’t it the reason to celebrate life, to take it easy, to enjoy every single moment, to capture as many memories as you can, to love fully, to help others, to forgive, to become better, to work on yourself, to dream big, to make new friends, to forget all the pain from the past, to stay soft and kind, to have open mind and warm heart, to be who you are and to become the best version of yourself, without comparing yourself to others?
Don’t let the noise, that people around you make, to be louder than the voice of your intuition/soul/heart/your-inner-self, you name it, because in the end of the day, you are the only person who knows what is best for you. And this is one of the lessons that Paris taught me.
Love, Leila.
